It's possible that XBOX division requested $xxx millions to subsidise deals to take the usual top spot during the holidays, and all the marketing opportunities that com with that. However, that hasn't worked, and now it might be problematic to request more when the situation might not be winable this holiday.
May just sit it out for now, rather then lose much more in an un-winable market against SW and NDC bundles.
Problem is, what happens next year with all the releases scheduled for PS4? Is there anything else MS can do at this point?
