Don't get me wrong, since i used some weeks ago, I now believe that VR can work, but yet the videos trying to reproduce the experiences so far just didn't do anything for me. From people laughing at things that you dont see, to montage of actors pretending to be using the thing, till the simple showing what people are looking at in the headset, the VR marketing so far has been poor all around.
Except for a short moment in the game awards show, they finally found a way to show you how using vr really feels like:

This is the only thing that really show you that you get inside the world with VR, that you are really there doing thing in a 1:1 manner, like in the real world. If anyone here are wornking in a VR game or experience, or get asked about how should the things should be shoulded be put ona a video, this is the way.
Imagine if every thing that you saw so far about vr got this treatment, would no us be way more convinced that youare inside the world when you put the glasse on?
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
