keep in mind, the ds is going to be the #1 selling system of all times, the psp having 30% share is very nice. The GG was a failure

i have to disagree the GG was not a failure by any means. it was the only system to actually pull even 2 to 3 years into the systems life against the gameboy and in fact had quite a few really great quality games. then sega pulled out and went with the nomad which was a failure. in fact out of the two gg and psp i myself would much rather still have the GG cause of the games and the fact that it wasnt considered really as a competitor so to speak but to acutally want to help with portable gaming. THE SONY wanted the psp to conqure the gameboy/ds like the ps brand did the previous two gens but i do have to say would the ps1 sold as well if it would've launched same day as the n64? i dont think so. it took a 2 year head start and a massive price drop to even be able to compete against the n64 before launch then shortly after that launch came ff7 which didnt help the 64 at all cause of the delays of games for the console.

if your wondering but the ps1 released at 300?? do your research before you make that claim cause in fact the ps3 was not the most expensive console sony had ever released. it in fact was the ps1. and on top of that the saturn itself was also the same price cause they wanted to compete vs the 3DO and CDI consoles. if your wondering what the price was its this both of those came out at (drum roll please) $799.95 now tell me if they released the same time as the 64 would the results been the same?
