FFVI is little more obscure than the later games in the series, I think and again I ask, didn't Japanese gamers hated the game for stupid reasons like the game was too hard or the game was a Star Wars rip off etc.?

What do you mean by obscure. I think it's because it wasn't turnbased like the previous games.

 I answered yes, because it wasn't turnbased. LOL.  If you mean by obscure it being not as well known as the others then I agree.
