Well I agree about no mans sky. Its an indie game, cool and fresh idea, but definitly not "most anticipated".

Horizon Zero Down? Like really. The game is made by the killzone shadowsfall developer (which was not a fantastic game) and will be developed in like 3 years (Shadowfall released 2013; Horizon releases in 2016). Its not really anticipated at all. At least compared to games like Zelda U, FF15, KH3, TLG which are in development for 5+ years, made by developer who released fantastic games in the past...

 

Horizon: Zero Dawn has been in development since Killzone 3 released, which was 2011. It just ramped up production following Shadow Fall's release. Kingdom Hearts III doesn't even have a release date, which is probably why it never even had a chance of being selected. As for the lack of Zelda in the list, I'm guessing it's because we've barely been shown any of it over the last year other than that 10 second teaser. The games in the nominee list have been featured pretty extensively this past year and are all confirmed for 2016 releases.

I do agree though that Final Fantasy XV should have probably made it in.
