I know games fall under this category but not sure about the consoles themselves - though from what I remember and not sure if they changed - but when I bought my PS2 years ago and the console went down in price a few days later - I went back to the store and they gave me back money. This was Best Buy btw.

Yea looks like several people have confirmed Best Buy will do this. I'm just going to do it. Worst comes to worst and I'll just have my GF return it and get it for $300.
