With that said, you should be good.

He doesn't really need to watercool the GPUs, so long as he's got a case with plenty of air flow (something that should be a top priority when building rigs of this nature). CPU watercooling is another matter and, overall, much easier to manage.

Perhaps he doesn't need to, but with a budget like his, why not?  He might as well squeeze some more overclocking performance out of them.
