I'm not sure what to say. The first play-through is basically the beginner's mode. Subsequent play-throughs are much harder. I've beaten it on the first two modes, completely single-player. Perhaps it's a lot harder on Vita, I played on PS3. The first play-through really isn't very tough for the most part.
What boss is too hard? What strategy are you using? Are you using the right elemental weapons? Borderlands is ALL about using the right weapons at the right time, especially when they compliment your skills.
Explain more about what's going on. Borderlands 2 is one of my favorite games ever and I'm far from being a hardcore gamer.
