I think the Xbones sales will stay good in the US at least. It isn't going away anytime soon. As others have stated Sony and M$ will have a harder time convincing people to upgrade to 9th Gen so I hope both do some serious VR with their next systems as a way to entice us early adopters that don't want to plop serious cash for a PC to run high end VR.
