As to another aspect of the review, re the grumpy old man telling Galahad and co no (it's Sir Galahad by the way, not Lord Galahad), at least we find out there's more of a reason for that than him just being a conservative, old grump and a lame contrivance for galahad to go rogue. The one thing I find completely unfathomable was how the non-boss lycan fight mechanic made it through to the finished product. I mean who the hell thought it was a well conceived and well thought out combat mechanic? Hell, I struggle to believe that any professional game designer would even come up with that mechanic, let alone cement it into a game. In Uncharted two you had, to all intents and purposes, a warewolf-esque foe that was impossible to engage with hand to hand. And because their run, roll, jump, shoot from the hip mechanic was well designed then it was a good challenge and fun to play. |
I agree, I'm guessing the werewolf encounters were supposed to be frigthful but the laughable AI made them a complete joke.
