Are the MS figures just gaming division or do they include other stuff? As it is, it looks like MS selling less hardware and software still has them performing better financially.

We have absolutely no clue how much Xbox alone made because microsoft lumps it with Surface which as far as i know is profitable. 

So you can't really compare MS numbers 

the fist profitable surface quarter was holiday 2014
also the xbox divison does not include the first party and xbox live revenue (at least not until they changed the reporting this september)

red the q10 files submitted to the sec. there are breakdowns.
we know the gross maring for the xbox platform each year.
just not the operating profit, because ms account theire marketing and research expense company wide not in the division (this changed in september, too)

sony and nintendo data is easy to find in theire earning reports.
and yes. sony made the least money while selling the most. kind of weird, but marketshare =/profits
