Yet Amazon has the PS4 well ahead.

what's your point?
ps4 is ahead at amazon, yes

that does not idicate the ps4 overall won the black friday weekend.
im still not sure who will win november npd, but im 100% certain xbox one won black friday.

different demographics, you know
ps4 is always ahead at amazon, because theire target audience fits more with the ps4 ones
but moms buy a console at walmart, when they shop other stuff

also amazon.com overall markeshare is below 10%

How can you be 100% certain? Infoscout is only a small sample of total consumer activity, so while it might be highly reliable it can never claim 100% accuracy. Also Infoscout has not said which console won BF over all. It only said that the Gears bundle was the number 1 hardware sku. They didn't say how big the gap is between #1 and #2 and what the aggregate total is when adding up all skus. The Infoscout information makes it more likely that Xb one won BF, but it doesn't make it certain.

It is certainly true to say that Amazon has an unproven track record when it comes to any measure other than monthly and yearly sales ranks. So we should not say that Amazon is more reliable than Infoscout as an indicator for BF. Retailer deals are far too many and varied for Amazon to be a reasonable reflection of national sales. Indeed a smaller sample size across all retailers is likely to be more accurate for situations like BF.

In the end though, aside from bragging rights what does winning BF get you? If you lose November, and lose the year then wining on a single day / weekend ends up being inconsequential. The only hard numbers we will be getting is from NPD, which means the PR bragging rights go to the November NPD winner. Which is still strongly looking like PS4. I do think we are going to see a closer NPD than I thought 24 hours ago.
