Side note: I am an audiophile (My ipod broke a few years ago qith 11,000+ songs on it.), and there is a thing such as audio quality. There is also such a thing as eilitism, and I often find that it is rooted in a nostalgia bent towards a generation's pop music or a need to differentiate, isolate, and elevate the self. If there is any pop star who was/is not reprsentative of main stream pop, it is Adele. I doubt it was by accident that the video for her mega hit "Set Fire to the Rain" had her seated throughout. Consequently, it's quite likely that she had to make up for her lack of marketability with singing/songwriting talent, because Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, etc. You could also just do a little research on Adele and her music, instead of generalizing.
