Am I doing something wrong? I pre-ordered Fallout 4 (digitally) on Ps4 the moment it became available, having faith that I would fall in love with the game and it would fill the void left by my 200+ hours of Ps3 Skyrim gameplay.

About 15 or so hours in, I'm really having trouble just loading the game up.

Idk what it is. Everything seems like a chore. I'm not invested in the world. The visuals are meh but honestly that's not the thing. It's obvious they sacrificed 2015 top standard visuals for great performance; to which Bethesda succeded. I've yet to run into any game ending bugs and the framerate (surprisingly) runs very smoothly.

I know it's probably one of those games that you really have to dig into it for a while to become invested in the story/atmosphere of the world. But I don't remember Skyrim being like that.

The moment I loaded Skyrim for the first time and traversed into WhiteRun... Breathtaking. The world was amazing. It really suck me into it with a great atmosphere and soundtrack. Fallout 4 just didn't doing the same thing for me. I'm sure once I carve out a good 10 hours to just play it straight I will be able to actually enjoy what the game does best.

But until then I feel like it's a pain to get into it.

Anybody else feeling the same way?
