How is it possible that the X1 and PS4 are already basically the same price as a Wii U?

Their best bet at this point is to try to make what money they can off of the Wii U, and try to push sales with game bundles rather than price cuts. The Wii U is clearly not competing with the PS4 or XBox One, so no need to get in a price war. Get what you can out of it in its last year.

Yeah, they have done that the past two generations now, and it is time to give up that mindset.  Not sure how they really got into that, but they need to drop it ASAP.  Clearly, no one else cares.

No seriously, I appreciate it. I'm a student, I'm not swimmimng in money. So everything I don't have to spend on my power bill, I can spend on games/assorted nice things. Maybe electricity is cheaper in the US or something, but it's pretty expensive where I live and prices are rising pretty much yearly.
