ugh. PS3's Blu-ray read speeds are uniform. The average read speeds are faster than 360's 12x DVD and uniformly faster than the DL-DVD games that most 360 games use now. Also, hard drives are faster than all optical drives. Saying these are the biggest mistakes in gaming is so far from the truth. How about Nintendo backstabbing Sony (unheard of in Japan) with the development of a CD-based gaming system? In fact, Nintendo left Sony's partnership for Phillips, the other company that created the CD format with Sony, and later screwed them as well! The result? Both Sony and Phillips released their own systems to compete with the N64: Playstation and CD-i. Those moves were a huge factor in Nintendo losing its dominance. Sony losing their dominance is more a case of Microsoft and Nintendo stepping up their options. Also, the PSP is hardly a failure. It has more share of the portable market than all non-Nintendo handhelds ever...combined.
