I really doubt that. If you look at the images of beauty from egypt (Nofretete's bust etc.) she was thin

In Greece the aphrodite statues and in Rome Venus (goddess of beauty) were thin as well.
In italy of 1500 Venus was also thin.
From Greece onward the epitome of female beauty was not as toned and muscular as today's image of beauty but fat was never beautiful. A long slender neck was sought after in egypt 5000 years ago.
So in the end I think we can say that society may override images of beauty but in general healthy will be beautiful. That is neither too thin nor too fat. There may be exceptions like really thin models (although I very seldom meet men who think they are beautiful) or fat woman but in general this is not the norm.
