You're expecting wayyyyy to many brand new AAA announcements. Last year we only had Street Fighter V (was already leaked), MLB The Show (yearly release #10301) and a Street Fighter IV port in terms on AAA announcements, the rest was new info about games we already knew and indies. |
And at E3 2014 we got Bloodborne, Ratchet & Clank, and LittleBigPlanet. This year we got The Last Guardian, Horizon, Dreams, World of Final Fantasy, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. And if we count Square Enix's conference, we also got Star Ocean 5 and Nier: Automata.
Point is, we're getting more and more games because developers have gotten enough time to start working on their games. We also got a more of a 1st/2nd party focus on this years Paris/Gamescom conference. We will most likely get bigger announcements and a more focus on 1st/2nd party games compared to last year which had a LOT of indies.
