Some hardware news and rumors

CLUB3D OFFERS DISPLAYPORT 1.2 TO HDMI 2.0 ACTIVE ADAPTERS AT 4K-60 HZ

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/club3d-offers-displayport-1-2-to-hdmi-2-active-adapters-at-4k-60-hz.html

In the world of PC Gaming, a 60Hz refresh rate is widely regarded as a requirement for a smooth and fluid gaming experience. Until HDMI 2.0 was annnounced in 2013, it was not possible to display games on any Ultra HD Monitor or Television lacking a DisplayPort™ 1.2 input at 60Hz because of bandwidth limitations of the HDMI interface.

>>This isn't a big problem with monitors, as most of them have DP 1.2, but it a big problem with TVs because only a small few have it as they rely more on HDMI. Until now only those with an Nvidia 9xx card could play at 4K@60Hz over HDMI becuase those are the only cards with HDMI 2.0, but now everybody with a "recent" card will be able to do it.

And it's only $35! Everybody thought they would cost $100.
