Potential.. in technology yes they have met their potential, sadly until coding for that system becomes
less bulky the PS3 has met it's end, the RAM on that system won't allow for much more.
The real issue though according to this article is sales potential.
Heh, don't be so sure they're fibbing, Sony isn't competeing with Nintendo, they seem to just be giving away
their sales potential.
They recieved a strong year over year - which is probably due to anticipation of their 'killer apps' and the price cuts, also
maybe even the Sony brand name... There was a time when people thought Sony and thought what we think
now of Walmart (Affordability) so they might have a good price point going on for them.
They are all competeing for disposable income but in that case they are competing with everything trying to get that money.
Such is the way of the entertainment industry.
But sadly their sales increase may be short lived unless they commit to some unforseeable changes.
At this point it seems the PS3 is on a horizontal spiral.
