At the end of the day it's obvious that Putin wants to flex Russia's muscles and power and yet Russia's economy is in shambles and their tech still behind the curve with China more or less in the same position. At the end of the day no side would ever want an all out world war because they should know and probably do that a full scale world war would spell the end of mankind with the amount of nuclear weaponry that is still kept by each faction and country, if someone so much as launches one nuke then their allies will and the allies of those enemies and so on, it would be exactly like Judgement day and no one would win, having a full scale world war would solve absolutely nothing and further send participating countries into further chaos and destabilization.
I do think that Russia should knock off their shit though but both sides need to stop funding rebels and the govs and let themselves sort each other out until the dust settles, by supporting one side and the other means the hands of the participants all the more dirty and leads us to even greater conflicts that cannot be solved with diplomatic meetings.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
