Sorry but NATO ain't shit. During the intervention in Lybia, most members didn't even contribute anything. I doubt they'll pick up weapons to start a world war for Turkey.

You're comparing Lybia with Turkey, one of NATO's most important allies... Turkey has more active military personnel than Germany and France combined. Not to speak over Turkey controlling access to the Black Sea and Turkey being NATO's gateway to the Middle East. Turkey wasn't one of the first countries to join the alliance after it's creation just for shits and giggles.

Doesn't matter - Turkey is still ranked below France and Germany in military power. The most powerful member of NATO couldn't do anything in Syria. Weren't they hell-bent on getting rid of Assad? What happened?

Uhm, when did they even try? Did I miss something? If the US wanted to get rid of Syria then there's no more Syria tomorrow. Same with Russia, if they tried the war would be over tomorrow.

And nobody is interested in ending the war in Syria except the parties with boots along the frontline. Less oil on the market = higher oil price = more $$$ for countries who export oil. An active war benefits all sides, even Russia.
