Near is still a threat, and not like Turkey really can do anything if Russia starts downing their aircraft near the border.  Neither NAto (a joke really) nor americans are getting into shooting with Russians.  West is already sanctioning Russia.

And near might be a threat, that doesn't mean you have the right to down it. By that awful fucking logic Turkey has the right to sink the Russian destroyed, because it's a threat to Turkey.

And if you honestly think NATO is a joke I'll have 0 reason to respect any of your opinions, NATO is the single largest and powerful military alliance humanity has ever witnessed by a longshot and could wipe any threat of the map within the hour. If Turkey gets attacked by Russia, something you're hoping will happen, I'm hoping Turkey will invoke Article 5 against Russia and we'll see a NATO invasion Russia, which would be completely within NATO's right.
