If they didn't have such sucky configs I would buy one of the cheap ones at that price to install windows and use as a media device under one of my TV's. But realistically they are badly configured for that and by the time you fix that you end up paying too much again.
I think we should expect a LOT more sales on steam machines as OEM's struggle to find suckers buyers for them.
