However, as someone who has played around with VR, it could lead to a much bigger impact than people think. As word travels around and more people get access to it, sales might explode over time.

 Also, we need to take into account if Dev's are actually going to support the thing. There has to be a sizeable library of compelling games/software to convince consumers to buy it. VR headsets will be the future of gaming, it clearly is the superior display when compared to televisions and monitors, the immersion is just unreal. It's truly just a matter of when these things will replace standard displays.
