This is essentially like asking if the Rift will generate higher AMD and Nvidia high end card sales. The answer is yes as folks will need to upgrade. Ultimately it is much much cheaper for a casual consumer to get it for PS4.
So then the real question is whether or not virtual reality will take off. If it does, expect ps4 sales to increase. It's simply the cheaper alternative and the easiest to set up for newcomers.
