This is my first post. I'm a 31 year old Canadian teacher, living in the far north of Alberta. Believe me when I say this:

Canadians know a reasonable amount about American politics. No, not as much as you Americans do. But we know enough.

I always vote left. When it comes to American politics, I personally always favour the Democrats. Having a Republican President to the south doesn't bother me though. Until now.

Following is strictly my opinion. I'm trying to figure out how the hell more Americans are currently favouring Trump over any other Republican candidate. He comes off as ignorant, racist, sporadic, and has the potential to make the United States an even more unattractive country from the viewpoint of foreigners. Is this what Americans want?

Can someone please explain this to me?
