So your claims as to why it's a major step forward are, in order;

More animations (not really a gameplay addition but whatever)

More open environments (which I already addressed)

And a rope

Geeze, and I remember the days when games like Metroid Prime 3 were getting told they needed to innovate more. None of this even remotely qualifies Uncharted as being a major step forward in anything but how good it looks.

It's kinda alarming you say you'll get it in order and skip the biggest thing that was actually the first, the physics, that make the game a whole another world to be in, a clearly huge step foward.

But once you hit "a rope" and "Geeze" it's pretty clear you don't actually wanna see it, you want your opinion.

Anyway, be sure to read some reviews, read them not the scores, then come back to this post and address to me what you have read.

You just said "Uncharted seems like a technical marvel on physics, go look at everything that is happening while the game is being played." The structure your sentence in no way remotely implied that the physics were at all being modified. Regardless, would you care to give some examples of how exactly the physics have been altered? Are characters faster? Is falling or momentum more realistic? What exactly has changed?

I simply listed what you made this game supposedly so much different. If you've got more examples of a major step forward in gameplay, then by all means, list them. I'd love to know. If you're just going to dismiss every single point as "well you clearly just don't want to see the light," then yeah, there's probably not much left to discuss. If there actually are major steps forward being taken to innovate in the gameplay department, then I'd love to hear them. But everything you've described thus far is hardly worth mentioning. From what's been put forth thus far, it sounds like a game such as Arkham Knight innovated far more from its last major title, and it is by no means considered a major step forward.

Which isn't to say that not changing much in the gameplay department is necessarily a bad thing; many great games are just minor refinements on previously established mechanics with a new setting and a fresh coat of paint. But let's not act like a game is something it isn't.
