I think this depends on how much Naughty Dog has learned and applies from making the Last of Us.

From an overall 'gameplay' perspective I think Tomb Raider 2013 was better than any of the Uncharteds (if you haven't played through with just bow and arrows I highly recommend it!). Not that the Uncharteds weren't great, because they are. I really love them all! I just enjoyed the combat and level design of TR a little better. It 'borrowed' the best bits of Uncharted's game play and added a level of depth and progression to the whole thing. Plus it offers a bit better implementation and balance of puzzles/exploration.

But then Naughty Dog went and made the Last of Us, which takes that formula and refines it well beyond both Uncharted and TR. That game is in a whole different league!!!

Granted I haven't played the new TR yet (looks really great)., but I still think it's a wait and see. If the new Uncharted is more of the same I might lean toward TR. But if it takes the best bits of the Last of Us and applies them to the Uncharted formula it's going to be tough to beat.

Plus Uncharted/The Last of Us both have infinitely better story telling/dialog. Where as the story telling in TR is just HORRIBLE..

Since some Uncharted workers left, some members of the Last of Us team are working on Uncharted. I am expecting it to be slightly grittier. Plus Naughty Dog admitted that last gen the PS3 tech was holding them back from their true vision of the game. This is the first and last time we're going to see Naughty Dogs vision for Uncharted which is insane to think about.

I think Amy Hennig is an amazing writer (she helped write Legacy of Kain and the near perfect Soul Reaver!!). I was sad to hear she left but my suspision is she would have kept Uncharted more whimsical. I get the feeling Bruce wanted to veer into darker teritory and he will get his way now that she's moved on. I don't think Uncharted is going to become all The Last of Us kinda dark, but definitley darker. Plus in the end Amy is working on a Starwars based game, so we'll end up with another competitor in this 'genre' when 1313, or what ever that game has become under her watch, resurfaces.
