Here's an interesting (and short) talk on the subject. It starts at 10:30

Do you suggest we go back to no demos at all? What this guys suggest is "we need to trick people into thinking our products are good regardless if it's true or not!". Because yeah when you see a trailer you want it but when you finaly realize how bad a game can be then you don't want it anymore. So should we prevent betas too?

Like the post avove says, its good for us and bad for EA so they will change it.

The problem with EA games is that most are repetitive and/or multiplayer games wwith short storys if any at all, so if you play them for 10 hours, you tend to play most or all the story if any at all, if its multyplayer game you play that in 20mins and after that its just repetitive so people dont want to invest anymore on something they have already gone completly through. Aside from dragon age origins, I cant see anything that I would need more than 10hrs worth to be satisfied from EA, and that includes starwars battlefront since reviews say that theres very little content and its being held back in multyple expansions.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
