I'm curious to see how 120fps looks like as I've only played at 60fps so far. I doubt it will be the standard next console generation. 4k will be the standard resolution when the next wave of Sony / Microsoft consoles release. Pushing 4x the number of pixels while simultaneously doubling the framerate would put some serious strain on the hardware, leaving too little extra power for added graphical fidelity.
My guess for next gen is 4k resolution at 60fps, with some game deviating from that standard.
