First, I was referring to the end of the year situation which is about the same kind of thing.  Small titles of mixed or poor reception plugging gaps.  

But to address your post, I would not consider Splatoon, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, Fatal Frame V (despite its niche status a mixed reception), and in the case of Japan Genei Ibun Roku #FE to be filler.  Not as good as last year, still a pretty good one.  You seem to have confused the concepts "games I don't like" with the concept "filler." I would untangle those wires post haste.  The implications of each is quite different from the other.
