It's now a real time Jrpg instead of a Strategy rpg with real time elements.
And you control a party of 5 at the same time (although the other 4 seem A.I. controlled based on your strategies/commands).

This is completely different from Valkyria Chronicles, and I don't know how to feel about that yet, because I loved Valkyria Chronicles battle system.

 

yeah, i'm in the same place.  i loved VC's battle system and i'm not sure i'll enjoy the new system as much.  from what i read it sounds a bit like that of dragon age,.. i tried a demo to one of the games and didn't really like it that much.

oh well,.. i'll probably buy it regardless.  i once would have said i didn't like SRPGs until i played VC,.. maybe this one will make me love real-time JRPG.
