I think FM6 is WAY better than FM5 (I was really disappointed in 5, but 6 looks/feels better to me personally).

That said, FM5 was a launch game, and without much else to buy overall, it got the gigantic push simply from there not being a lot else to buy at the time. This pushes all kinds of games that might otherwise not get huge numbers on any platform to decent levels.

Now add to that the fact that many more casual fans will feel like FM5 already fills their void in sim racing, and only the most hardcore fans might buy FM6. Just seeing how many people play these kinds of games, they have a slow start, and many get kind of bored and/or frustrated as the game and races get more difficult. So it can be tough to re-sell the same basic game over again to casual players when there are many other releases that might be preferable to them.

Basically, I think FM6 will probably never overtake FM5 in LTD sales, and it's a shame because it's a really good game.
