We know that AMD is working on three designs: Greenland, Ellesmere and Baffin. So they will have something new. The only problem now is that, apparently, they will only launch two of those chips next year as Raja Koduri told Forbes. Now, two new GPUs usually mean 4 new cards (with the X and non-X cards having the same GPU), but that still leaves us without knowing which chips will be the new ones.
I don't use to be optimistic with this kind of thing and AMD, but it could be that the jump to 14/16nm and the new GCN has had a bigger than expected performance jump and they have decided to focus on Ellesmere and Baffin and leave Greenland for 2017 when the fab process will be more mature and launch it as the new Fury range of cards.
But besides that, AMD has been working on something called the Boltzmann Initiative for the HPC market, including a compiler to port CUDA to C++, allowing it to be used on AMD cards.
About AC, I followed the franchise until AC 3, albeit I always bought the games one year after launch, when they were a lot cheaper. But AC 3 killed the franchise for me.
Also, I'm glad you and zero liked the special news ^.^ This just proves that we are superior in every way possible .
