The incentive to buy both doesn't matter as much. It's the insentive to buy either that is important to Nintendo. You will see examples in the software to incentivize people owning both. If you thought the Amiibo paywall was bad, this will be worse, and it will be for almost everything, especially when it comes to first party titles.
