It matters because Microsoft has pretty much lost if they lose America for the majority of the gen. The rest of the world is with Sony so they should pretty much salvage what they can of the US sales. Microsoft knows America andis bankig on fourth quarter sales. A good amount of Novembers NPD comes from Black Friday and Cyber Monday FYI.

Ok but if they lose November NPD, you're point about them needing to win US would be pointless because if they lose November NPD, that means they're still losing in the US. 

Hell I remember last year people were saying Microsoft had better a holiday and yet they still lost 2014 together.
