Still civvies, still religious and historical artifacts. ISIS members have kids too and they'd wanna minimise the deaths of them even though they know they probably can't.

But ISIS aren't a global super power with a huge arsenal. There weapons are those leftover from previous wars and funding from oil & Arabs, they aren't a threat to Russia, so it makes more sense for russia to find targets and take them out one-by-one.
