1 - I'm fine with games being difficult, especially when they start out easy and build up your skills to difficult levels.. I would say Super Mario is a great example actually..

2 - Having a difficulty setting is nice, making it as hard or as easy as you want it to especially for RPGs, when I get lazy from grinding, but I don't feel it's a must have or anything..

Agreed, just adding.

1- That may be a valid criticism against Donkey Kong though. The difficulty ramps up way faster than in Mario (and it is already harde in the beginning), but because of the way it looks people may believe they are interchangeable

A difficulty level indicator in the case could be nice. Games are expensive and you may ending buying one that is just too hard for you by mistake.

2- Loved the options to customize the gameplay in Bravely Default.
