Not likely. Not when it came out not even now. Someone in this thread said that Call of Duty4 looked better on PC than on 360 (or PS3 I suppose).

The answer is: Yes it does but the difference is so small that you most likely won't notice it while playing. Some shadows and textures are more detailled, some effects nicer. But overall you get comparable graphics on a 200$ 360 or a 400$ PS3 with included BluRay player (I suppose PS3 and 360 are identical) as on a PC with a 300$ graphic card. The biggest difference seems to be that the PS3 version has higher brightness.
In the end you get awesome and only 3 years ago unthinkable graphics on PS3, 360 and PC. Call of Duty looks SO great on all three of these. Yes a highend PC is the most powerful of the three but the other two provide great graphics as well. |
$500 Gaming PC Plays Crysis on High
And COD4 is in a very different situation than Crysis, since COD4 actually isn't a great looking game and is not better looking than Crysis on medium settings. Sorry but you don't need a highend PC to play COD4 on highest settings. Not even close. Hell, you probably can build a PC cheaper than a PS3 and max COD4 PC graphics. |
Ha, I remember when I used an 8400GS to play CoD4 on high settings. Looked pretty good actually but I wasn't blown away.
