I should have just posted the forum article it was posted in which was from this month.

As the only person on this forum who regularly follows the official forum, watches all streams and has read the complete reddit AMA they did just recently I feel qualified to say that a release on X1 is unlikely in the near future.

The official statement currently is that they want to release on as many platforms as possible but that there is nothing to announce. This is as vague as it gets. An X1 port gets asked for every week on Reddit and in the forums and from their statements it's easy to conclude that porting to X1 is not easy and that they have a very limited work force and need to be very careful in allocating their resources. That means they will go by priority and an X1 port certainly is not very far up there.

If it actually is, then they have been very misleading in their statements.

What would be a head of X1 release? It's already on PS4 and  PC, so that leaves WiiU, X1, last gen, handheld, and mobile. I don't see them releasing the game on WiiU over X1. Last gen has lost too much steam. Possibly mobile is the next release, but we'll see. Handheld is possible as well. I still think X1 is the most logical next choice for release.

The most logical choices are PS3 and Vita. The network connectivity is already there and so is the relationship to Sony. As opposed to any other platform, releasing on PS3 or Vita is purely a technological matter. It won't come to mobile because it needs a controller. So in my opinion the priorities currently are in order PS3, Vita and the X1. Can't really see it on Wii U since Nintendo are even stricter Than MS when it comes to an open platform for indies.

I'm not saying it will never release on X1 but I do believe that the priorities are currently elsewhere. I also believe that they are already way past behind the hype window and that the increase in playerbase when they release on X1 will only be a barely noticeable bump, to the point where I'd argue that it's not even worth it.
