Well not the reason why i'm surprised. Why I'm surprised is they re-released the original just few weeks ago on Steam and GOG lol.

You were that posted here last week that Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition was made to increase the awareness of the franchise in advance of the revelation of the third part. This is the same thing.
