Yeah, I agree. The Direct was crap, but I was totally expecting it. You can see they are trying to pretend as if it's all great in Nintendoland and they have us covered, but the reality is that well... Nintendo needs a brand new start. Badly. The only game that got me interested is DQ8 and I'd still rather play it on Vita in higher resolution than the crappy 3DS screen :/ I hated Amiibo being thrown in everywhere and talking about DLC all the time. I was neutral towards Amiibo at first, but after some time and hearing as more games had content and even levels hidden behind this paywall I got to really hate them. To me at this point it's just as bad as when MS was talking about TV at a certain conference...

SF0 looked nice during cut scenes, but as bad as previously during gameplay parts. I see this game as a massively missed opportunity. This could have been another Splatoon-level surprise hit, but looks like a filler instead.

TP HD... It looked fine at first, but after they showed Zelda U right after it, I realised just how little work they put into this port. Seriously, they put as little effort as they could. The art style is so much better than in Zelda U, but you can see the difference in grass being a totally flat texture in TPHD and actually being grass a moment later in Zelda U. It seems to me like they didn't do anything to this game, probably even used the original assets before the GCN/Wii would cut the resolution of textures. How much time did they invest into this port? Two weeks? I'd love to see a comparison of TPHD and Dolphin version of TP, something tells me Dolphin owns the Wii U version big time :/

Zelda U... Didn't like the way Epona looked. The flat colours were awful. The Direct was another proof that TP art style is miles better. At least the graphics level overall isn't as poor as in Star Fox. I expect Wii U games to look better than PS3 games and at least they reached that level here.

In general, Wii U is screwed in an unprecedented way. Next year will be brutal, no home console has ever been treated this badly. Just kill it already, Nintendo! And they didn't even cut the price, the way Sony and MS did. Just be done with it and roll NX out...

3DS is meh as well, but it's its last year, so it's decent enough. Fire Emblem and DQ8 are the only noteworthy games for me.

They better be preparing a bad ass launch lineup for NX and it better come in 2016... Otherwise, the future can be very, very bleak for Nintendo.

bleak for a company with like 10 billion in cash reserves and some of the most valuable character IPS in the world?

people can say what they want but Nintendo is not doing that poorly when you look at them as a whole with their 3DS and Amiibo's

the Wii U has been doing poorly since out of the gate. what did you all expect from this Nintendo Direct, a bunch of magical new titles for a system that nobody is buying?

get realistic you all, Nintendo has been thinking about and planning for the NX for a while. they have supported the Wii U fine, a lot better than some other companies (cough Sony / Vita)

the reality is that if Nintendo integrates their handheld and home console divisions they will have a smash success again. it's inevitable with having the Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Metroid, etc. IPs

in fact Nintendo has tons of room to work with, they have been criminally underusing certain IPS (Pokemon on home consoles, F-Zero, numerous RPG handheld franchises (cough Golden Sun), etc.)

get more realistic with your hopes guys! Nintendo Direct is supposed to be a communication device for Nintendo to show fans what to expect but it's not some E3 big reveal thing where they announce loads of games or necessarily present some revolutionary thing. I feel like a lot of people are being unrealistic with expectations and giving Nintendo an unjust hard time
