No.

When people say PCs they seem to forget that majority of the PCs out there can't even run games at the current settings of a PS4. And they make it sound like its the norm for majority of PCs to have GPUs that cist more than a PS4 alone.

If you look at true current gen games and not cross gen games; you will clearly see all the little things that make up a generational leap. Especially when both games are running on a 1080p TV. Bow take a $4000 PC. and run whatever game u want at 1080p and 200fps. You will NOT see as big a difference between it and a PS4 running the same game on a 1080p TV. At least not one that justifies the difference in cost.

IMO, if you really want to compare a pc with a console. Then always compare what kinda PC you can get for the cost of whatever console its being compared to. Right now you can get a PS4 for $350 and in some places $300.So let's talk about $300 PCs. Cause that's how anyone would look at it that has $300 to spend on a gaming platform.

This.

Sure I can compare the processing power of my Wii U to my gaming PC and obviously it comes up short but my PC was 5 times the price.

You can compare an Aston Martin to a Mazda in the same way but what PC fans must understand is that while their PC might outperform a PS4 the majority of PC's out there do not.

But back on OP, in general terms if you want to see what the next generation of consoles will be like have a look at what top end PC's are doing today and that is about right.
