Well... that's a negative perspective. Every gen has great games worth revisiting. Even if 8th gen delivers great games in every genre, there are still a lot of great games in previuos gens that are worth looking at.

I never understood that mindset. I mean look at all of the classic collections, remasters, cross gen titles, Arcade games, etc.  I still play SMB for Pete's sake! Not the reason to buy a console but not something to be overlooked, either. Games don't have an expiration date.
