The Wii actually had the best single month in the U.S., selling over 3.8M in Dec. 2008. The DS gets the #2 & #3 best months, selling 3.3M in Dec. 2009 and 3.04M in Dec. 2008. The DS did have the record for best non-holiday month ever, though, selling over a million units in April 2009 (the month the DSi was released).

Nintendo sold 3.8M Wii's and 3.04M DS' in Dec 2008...! That's 6.84 million consoles...in...a month...in...one country...in...conceivable!
