I'm kinda weird in this thinking, but it's my thinking. The guy is selling the graphics like a cure all tonic it sounds like, riding the hype on the programming and rendering. Naturally, physics sells games and all...

But what about the graphics? Here's where I may be weird: I don't like realistic violence. If the graphics are so close to reality that it looks in all sense that I'm actually shooting someone, that turns me off to a game. So what may be a selling point for some people makes me not want to buy it.

I'm fine with a BFG blowing the hell out of everything around it in a near comical display of blood and guts, but a realistic shooting death of a normal looking person kinda disturbs me. Weird thing is, I'm fine with punching realistic looking people. Just not shooting them.

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
