Weirdly the advertising logos in the background are by far the highest res textures :s that priority.

That said... it still looks perfectly playable and you could make out the cars almost through that fence, skyline on the right and possibly an RX7 on the left?

Haha yeah, it just looks like a huge shock when you're used to the 7th and 8th gen racer visuals in comparison (see stuff like GRID 2). And to be fair, the advertising board is a landmark in London (Picadilly Circus) so it does make sense in that instance that they prioritised it over other areas.

Landmark or not, the font used for the Mc Donalds text is really high quality for a DC game, in comparison to the statue in the middle of the roundabout, that looks like something you might push around in a Resident Evil 2 puzzle on the Psone :D

It's always the same tho when it comes to games which are based on being super realistic when they launched... man I remember when playing Gran Turismo 2 after it came out thinking that games couldn't get much more photo realistic in the future.....

Yeeeeee, ever stop and look at the crowd in GT1/2? just a big grid of coloured blocks. Life like.

Haha indeed, I remember I'd be playing F355 Challenge, and think "there's no way the PS2 can do anything that looks any better than this!!!"... Then Gran Turismo 3 came out XD

I kinda feel sorry for people who haven't really been able to experience the evolution gaming has undergone in the past 25 years. Particularly a lot of the more intriguing 5th gen stuff, just would be completely unplayable to many who only started gaming from the 7th gen onwards.
