The existence of the WiiU and dramatically stronger PCs didn't stop people talking about the graphics of games like Halo 4, TLOU, and GTA5, so i fail to see why a repeat of that situation would have a different outcome.
Graphics and visuals in general have been a talking point for decades, and will be for several more. It might not be the ultimate deciding factor in the success of a game or console, but that doesn't make it unimportant. We wouldn't have spent the last 40+ years perpetually improving graphics if nobody cared at all.
