VGC is dead wrong, they constantly undertrack playstation products while overtracking xbox products. This was announced by sony and confirmed by many third party sources such as Gamespot and others.

Uncharted 3 has the highest first 24hr sales of any exclusive videogame in history.

The only places that decided to spread FUD about it were places like IGN and eurogamer. Keep in mind these same places take MIcrosoft released sales as truth and never questions it.

Have a google around and you'll find plenty of sources which updated their articles when they found out it was shipped, not sold. We don't even need those sources to realize the 3.8m figure in 24 hours is a bit silly. We can just look at some of Sony's other announcements:

About a year before UC3 came out they announced the series had hit 8 million sales:

Half a year after UC3 came out they announced 13 million:

So, even if Uncharted 1 and 2 sold literally absolutely nothing in the year following the first announcement, that would mean after selling 3.8 million in 24 hours, it then took UC3 another half a year to sell less than a third of that. I don't think i need to explain how silly that proposition is, but if you still want to believe it had a colossal first 24 hours and then a very disappointing following 6 months, there's not really anything i can do to stop you ^^
